"Xion, have you seen Axel?" you ask nervously, "I haven't seen him for like DAYS."

"Yeah, he's been sick…" she answers, "No one has been around him…He has this problem with his body temperature every winter. It was really bad this time… he didn't wanna see anyone…but he's recovered now… since it's spring."

"Oh…" you say feeling bad for him, "I wish I'd would've known…"

"S'ok. He probably doesn't care…"

You go back to your room and see there's a not on your door.

You blush like crazy. You had always been in love with Axel…but you were scared of his opinion, so you just keep quiet about it.

Just before sunset you come to the park bench and sit.

"Hello, ____"

"Axel!" You jump, "I didn't see you there…"

Axel laughs at your reaction and sits next to you. "What's going on?" He asks.

"Not much…" You admit, "Saïx has been driving me insane…"

"Who has he not been driving insane?" Axel says looking straight into the sun.

You smile and blush; you just noticed how close you are.

Axel puts his arm around you and your face goes straight red.

"A-Axel…"

"Hm?"
"I'm sorry about your sickness…. I was out on this mission with Demyx and…If I'd known…I would've… helped…"

"S'ok." He says looking at you with those emerald eyes.

You smile timidly.

Axel laughs.

"What's so funny?"

"You're cute."

"Huh?"

"I think you're cute," He says smiling, "You think I don't notice how red you turn whenever I come around."

"So…you know?" You ask.

"Yeah," he says, his eyes piercing into you, "I was just waiting on you to tell me. I wanted to hear you say it."

"You did?"

"Yeah… and I also wanted to tell you something…" he says, his face orange from the setting sun.

"What is it?"

You see Axel's face turn red, "I love you _____. I really do…"

"w…" before you could say anything in return, Axel kisses you. The kiss lasted for a few seconds, and then he pulls away, the kiss coming to an unwanted stop.

"Sorry…" he says looking away.

You kiss him this time. you wrap your arms around his neck to deepen the kiss.

He wraps his arms around you waist, pulling you closer.

You had to stop for air and you look into Axel's eyes.

"I love you too, Axel."

And the two of you watch the sun set.
